San Franciscan Supervisors David Campos, Bevan Dufty, and John Avalos honored the the Arizmendi Bakery on Valencia Street with a ribbon cutting ceremony for the official grand opening celebration.  They presented a proclamation from Mayor Gavin Newsom declaring October 20th, 2010 as Arizmendi Bakery Day. Also presented were certificates of honor signed by the city's Board of Supervisors. 

The grand opening fanfare was also graced by the live DJing of PODER organizer Oscar Grande (aka  DJ Lucha Grande) and David Ricardo from the band B and not B.
